Happy New Year and best wishes for 2011.

The beginning of January brings us a new year as well as a new grading quarter. If your child received low marks on their report card, please consider sending him/her to Los Robles Monday - Friday. There is an hour of free tutoring Monday - Thursday from Mr. Collins and Mrs. Wellcome as well as tutoring in all other subject areas from credentialed teachers and aides. In addition to tutoring support, January brings new enrichment opportunities to take part in.

The first hour is tutoring, followed by a healthy snack and a break.

Note: Monday through Friday Mrs. Kelly and either Mrs. Lively or Mrs. Wilson are employed to assist students from 2:35-6:00.

Monday: 2:35-3:45 Tutoring and Math lab with additional support from Mr. Collins. Mondays are Variety Day. Depending on the weather we may do outdoor activities, cooking, art or visit the game room.

Tuesday: 2:35-3:45 Tutoring and Math lab with additional support from Mrs. Wellcome and Mr. Collins.
From 4:00 - 5:00 Mariposa Arts Council artists will be visiting to teach a variety of artistic expressions. Examples of classes include watercolors, introduction to drawing, digital photography and use of pastels and charcoal.

Wednesday: 2:35-3:45 Tutoring and Math lab with additional support from Mr. Collins.
From 4:00-5:00 Robotics class taught by Mr. Collins.

Thursday: 2:35-3:45 Tutoring and Math lab with additional support from Mr. Collins.
From 4:00 - 5:00 Music Lessons with Adam Burns.

Friday: 2:35-3:45 Tutoring.
From 4:00-5:00 Yoga classes taught by Gail Stickles-White of Mountain Yoga.

Classes will change roughly every two months.

Welcome to the holiday season. We hope that you and your loved ones are happy and healthy. During this time, Los Robles classes will opporate in the following fashion. As always, the first hour is tutoring, followed by a healthy snack and a break.

From 4:00-5:00 family cooking class designed to teach students how to cook healthy, inexpensive and seasonal meals.

Tuesday: 2:35-3:45 Tutoring and Math lab with additional support from Mrs. Wellcome and Mr. Collins.
From 4:00 - 5:00 art classes with Mrs. Kelly designed to enhance artistic expression and artisitc skills.

Wednesday: 2:35-3:45 Tutoring and Math lab with additional support from Mr. Collins.
From 4:00-5:00 Outdoor sports/student game room.

Thursday: 2:35-3:45 Tutoring and Math lab with additional support from Mr. Collins.
From 4:00 - 5:00 Guitar Lessons with Adam Burns or Robitics class with Mr. Collins.

Friday: 2:35-3:45 Tutoring
From 4:00-5:00 student game room.

This past month in Los Robles students have done a great job with getting involved and acclimated to the MMS community. Each day of the week the after school program offers an hour of tutoring, a healthy snack and an enrichment activity. Here is how the weeks of October look.
